Welcome to Earthquake’s guide on maximizing your experience to cultivation point conversion rate. Age of Wushu is a very unique game in its own right. Different from most other worlds you may visit, in the Jianghu, you will be advancing your character while participating in any type of gameplay which interests you. This is possible through our unique experience gain and cultivation system. This guide will attempt to break down the various nuances of the experience system so that you can have a better idea of the factors which contribute to your experience conversion to cultivation rate.

A. Main experience pool
- Capped at 999. This pool is a cumulative measurement of all 5 experience pools labeled 1-5 in the image.
B. Cultivation Points
– This pool shows you how many cultivation points you have currently on your character. This pool accumulates points pending on your experience conversion rate.
C. Potential Cultivation Pool
– For those players without Jianghu VIP, only 70% of your experience will go into your cultivation pool. The other 30% is not lost, but rather stored in your potential cultivation pool. This pool’s resources can be unlocked through the use of Gold.
D. Experience Type Total
– This number is an indicator of how much of a particular level of experience you are currently carrying.
E. Conversion Speed
– This is a measurement of how much cultivation points this level of experience will be contributing to your overall conversion rate. This number will change pending on various added bonuses or buffs your character currently possesses.
1. Lv 1 Experience Type
- Pool Cap is 999 points. May not push main experience pool past 999.
- Baseline Cultivation Points (Non VIP, No Buffs) = 7 points / 100 seconds.
- VIP Cultivation points = 10 points per 100 seconds.
2. Lv 2 Experience Type
- Pool Cap is 999 points. May not push main experience pool past 999.
- Baseline Cultivation points (Non VIP, No Buffs) = 14 points / 100 seconds.
- VIP Cultivation points = 20 points per 100 seconds.
3. Lv 3 Experience Type
- Pool Cap is 999 points. May not push main experience pool past 999.
- Baseline Cultivation points (Non VIP, No Buffs) = 35 points / 100 seconds.
- VIP Cultivation points = 50 points per 100 seconds.
4. Lv 4 Experience Type
- Pool Cap is 999 points. May not push main experience pool past 999.
- Baseline Cultivation points (Non VIP, No Buffs) = 70 points / 100 seconds.
- VIP Cultivation points = 100 points per 100 seconds.
5. Lv 5 Experience Type
- Pool Cap is 999 points. May not push main experience pool past 999.
- Baseline Cultivation points (Non VIP, No Buffs) = 140 points / 100 seconds.
- VIP Cultivation points = 200 points per 100 seconds
Maximizing your Experience Conversion
Now that we have covered the fundamentals of experience gaining, the next step is to speak on how to maximize the conversion of experience into cultivation points. In some other games, in order to maximize your character’s progression one would have to complete endless tasks or monster kills. However in Age of Wushu, maximizing cultivation conversion rate is the key factor to character progression. This is done through a series of steps to produce the optimum experience to cultivation conversion rate. These options are listed below.
1. Experience Types
- Ensure you have experience points in all 5 levels of experience. Make sure in your own experience interface, you have points in all 5 levels of experience. With Jianghu VIP this will give you 380 cultivation potential per tick. Without Jianghu VIP this will give you 266 cultivation potential per tick. Exactly 70% of 380, with the rest going into your potential pool.
2. Scene Wide Task Bonus
- Participate in a school patrol or guild defense task. With school patrol giving you a 10% experience conversion buff, and guild territory defense giving you a 30% experience conversion buff, this step is a cost free way to gain added bonuses to your experience conversion rate. These two types cannot be stacked as they are scene bound and it would be impossible to have both on at the same time.
3. Consumables
– All experience conversion rate increasing consumables cannot be stacked with each other. You may only use up to 35 of these types of consumables per week. Here is a list of the various types of experience conversion rate increasing consumables and their functions. Keep in mind some of these are player crafted items, so make sure you are good friends with an Herbalist!
A. Jackdaw Herb (25% Increase in cultivation rate, for 10 minutes)
B. Yellow White Pill (50% Increase in cultivation rate, for 20 minutes)
C. Chi Accumulation Pill (100% Increase in cultivation rate, for 30 minutes)
D. Palpitation Relieving And Vital Energy Regulating Pill (150% Increase in cultivation rate, for 45 minutes)
E. Green Pill (250% Increase in cultivation rate, for 60 minutes)
4. Divination
– Obtaining divination buffs from other players through stalls or life skill mechanics to receive a random draw of experience converting speed.
5. Prayer
– Various prayer rewards can also be received through the prayer mechanic. Here is a list of possible rewards. Keep in mind each day a player may only pray 9 times, and the maximum experience conversion speed from prayer rewards is 8% at any one time.
A. Cost: 35 Liang Silver Coins: Increase experience conversion speed by 4%, duration of 30 minutes.
B. Cost 50 Energy: Increase experience conversion speed by 6%, duration of 30 minutes.
C. Cost 9 Liang Silver: Increase experience conversion speed by 8%, duration of 30 minutes.
6. Jianghu Arena
– Yup, even while dueling in front of a city gate, you will be able to receive an added experience conversion speed buff. There is a maximum limit of 75% increase in experience conversion speed at any one time. However there is no daily limit to the number of occasions you can receive this buff. Here is a breakdown of the two different types of buffs which can be stacked with each other.
A. Winning Jianghu Arena – Winning a Jianghu Arena duel will give you 1 stack of the buff which is a 10% increase to experience conversion speed for 10 minutes. This buff can be stacked 5 times giving you a maximum limit of 50% increase in cultivation rate.
B. Losing Jianghu Arena – Losing a Jianghu Arena duel will give you 1 stack of the buff which is a 5% increase to experience conversion speed for 10 minutes. This buff can be stacked 5 times giving you a maximum limit of 25% increase in cultivation rate.
