Fantasy Sports & Video Games Has Returned!!!

Welcome to Fantasy Sports and Video Games. I haven't posted anything new on this site in months, but recently I found out my site has a Page Rank of 1, so my posts may actually be found by readers searching for info through Google.

Football has just started and that only means one thing for me... Fantasy Football! Since I don't really have a favorite NFL team, I just root for the players on my Fantasy Team. Oh and by the way, I signed up for a Fantasy Baseball team back in the Spring and I haven't checked it till now. It seems that my team stayed healthy, because now I am in the Semifinals of my league somehow (We'll see what happens).

Anyway, I am going to make a few posts this month about Fantasy Football and maybe about some new video/computer games that are either coming out or have just been released.

I started this blog on December 19, 2010 and it was the first site I had ever started. I kinda gave up on it over the past few months, but I'd like to try and build it up once again. Even if its only one or two posts a month, I'm going to stick with it. We will see how it goes.

Thanks For Reading

Two Reasons Why I Want To Get Diablo 3 Once Again

I wanted Diablo 3 when it was first officially announced about three years ago. I kind of forgot about the game for a while, especially when the projected release date kept on being pushed back. A couple of months ago I told myself that I wasn't going to get it, since there weren't any features that made me love the game. However, recently I've been checking out D3 Beta gameplay videos on youtube and I came across two pretty awesome features. Check Out Diablo 3 Skills.

First off all, there will be an entirely new level of difficulty in Diablo 3. As it was in Diablo 2, there will be the casual play through in Normal Difficulty, a slightly more difficult mode in Nightmare Difficulty and then the very difficult mode in Hell Difficulty. After beating the game 3 times (Once through each difficulty) you will unlock Inferno Difficulty. In this mode every monster will be level 61 (Highest character level will be 60) and they will have unique abilities. The most powerful items in the game will be dropped from monsters in the inferno difficulty. Players will be able to go through the end game content without having to do monotonous Baal runs to level up their characters, as was evident in Diablo 2. Blizzard has used this new inferno difficulty as a way of making the end game challenging and entertaining rather than boring and laborious. I cannot wait to reach the end of the game and make my way through Inferno. Inferno seems like it is going to be awesome, but the new feature I just saw a video about has basically sealed the deal.

If you hadn't heard about it yet, Diablo 3 boasts 2 newly designed auction houses. The first auction house will be used to buy and sell equipment, characters, gems, crafting, tomes etc. using in-game gold. This is a great step up from the trading system in Diablo 2, where you had to spend tons of time to track down someone who had an item you want and even then it was difficult getting both parties to agree to the trade.

While this auction house system was awesome, the real kicker was when I found out there would be a real world currency auction house as well! You will be able to sell items for $USD and have it transferred to a Paypal account or your Blizzard account. This system will create a D3 economy, meaning in-game gold will actually have value (Unlike it was in Diablo 2). It will also be a lot safer than those 3rd Party websites people used to buy items in D2. In D3 I feel that rich kids and people who don't have much time to play the game will be the main ones spending real money on the game. I can't wait to see what the average ratio of D3 Gold to $1 eventually becomes once the game has been released for a few months. This real world money auction house is something I am really looking forward to in D3 and Blizzard will probably make tons of money off of the listing fees as well.
