* but my third clue was this:

I told him there's a great castle he can visit, and if he goes on the right day of the year, he can wave at the family that lives there - while they're standing behind the bulletproof glass. It's a very intimate occasion.

I tried New York and it wasn't.
The answer for me was: Tokyo, Japan.
